Friends of Erwood Station (F.O.E.S) is a unincorporated association set up to help renovate this once busy railway station. Projects range from restoring the Great Western Railway carriages now used as art gallery space to repairing and refurbishing our on-site locomotive, signal box and crane, ensuring the historical upkeep of the station for future generations.

To become a ‘Friend of Erwood Station’ for one year we ask for just £10, which goes straight into the restoration kitty. Members receive free entry to Erwood Station Craft Centre events, 10 free cups of tea or coffee at the centre, regular newsletter updates and the opportunity to get involved in fun, satisfying projects with lots of other like-minded people.

Friends of Erwood Station also raise money locally through donations, raffles, competitions and events, with all proceeds going towards buying consumables for our projects.

Erwood_Station_pre_1962There are three payment methods available for membership subscription. You can:

  • Send us a cheque through the post (please make cheques payable to Michael Cunningham, not Erwood Station Craft Centre). Our address can be found at the bottom of this page.
  • Pay with cash next time you’re at the craft centre.
  • Pay online through our website here.

Our prices are as follows:

  • £10.00 for Single Membership
  • £15.00 for Household Membership
  • £20.00 for Overseas Membership

Do you wish to volunteer?

You don’t have to become a F.O.E.S member to volunteer; any support is always greatly appreciated. Just let us know about the skills and experience you possess that could benefit the station (computer skills, painting, carpentry, environmental knowledge etc.) via email at office@erwood-station.co.uk or over the phone on 01928 560 674.

Volunteering can be a fun team building experience, an opportunity to learn new skills or practice old ones, and a chance to feel the satisfaction of helping out your local community. And if that isn’t enough to persuade you then a steady supply of free coffee, tea and cake throughout the day should do the trick!
